LEAGUE
AND CONFERENCE
The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) was founded in 2003 and is one of the largest men’s soccer leagues in the world with nearly one hundred teams competing across the country. NPSL team are grouped into four regions - East, West, Midwest, and South. Within these regions are thirteen conferences where teams are placed based on geographical proximity.

FC Davis competes in the 9 member Golden Gate Conference. The Golden Gate Conference resides in the West Region of the NPSL. West Region clubs are located in Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, Northern California, and Southern California. Our regular season beings in March and lasts until the end of June. The National Playoffs run from the beginning of July until the first weekend in August.

At the conclusion of our regular season, our conference tournament takes place. The top 8 Golden Gate Conference teams are ranked 1 - 8 and play in a single elimination playoff bracket to crown a champion.

Once our conference champion is named, the club will face the winner play in the West Regional Final against the Southwest Conference vs Northwest Conference winner.
​
The West Region champion plays the South Region champion in the National Semifinals. The winner of this match up plays in the National Championship against the winner of the Midwest Region champion vs East Region champion.
