June Playoff Push Begins With Third Place San Ramon FC Visiting Davis

The June playoff push begins with a high profile match-up as first place FC Davis hosts third San Ramon FC on Saturday night, 7:00 PM at Playfields.

The hosts come in looking to stay top of the table and claim a Golden Gate Conference title in only their second season in the NPSL.

FC Davis currently has 14 points through seven games, with four remaining matches to play.

San Ramon FC has 13 points through eight games, with three remaining matches to play.

With Academica and El Farolito within striking distance, both teams need to collect points in order to solidify their playoff positioning.

The first meeting between the two sides saw FC Davis come away with a 4-1 victory. Two goals from Evan Barrett and one each from Miguel Acevedo and Lucas Mohageg saw the Lions cruise to a road victory early in the season.

Since their last match-up, FC Davis has stood firm in first place while San Ramon consistently gained points and climbed the table to their current third place standing, even on points with Sacramento Golden who sit in second via PPG.

With only two home matches remaining for Davis (San Ramon and Sacramento Gold) the Lions have a chance to separate themselves by holding home-field.

The June stretch will be a wild race to the finish for Davis as they look to bring home the first semi-professional championship in city history.

Tickets are available for Saturday’s match online or at the gate!
