SoccerFest is quickly approaching, with both NPSL and WPSL teams taking the field on Saturday night for a double header in Davis.
FC Davis men lead off the action at 5:00pm when Oakland Stompers visit Playfields for their final home match of the 2022 season. The talented Lions have yet to fully click on the field, with a host of injuries complicating their defense of a third straight regular season title. With the National Playoffs beginning next week, the Lions are nearing full strength and preparing for what the group hopes to be a deep post season run.
At 7:30pm the Lionesses take the field and play host to Napa Valley 1839 for their first ever match-up in the WPSL. The Lionesses will look to keep their stellar home record in tact and use their ultra talented team to run past the women from Napa. With a host of local collegiate stars suiting up for Davis, the Lionesses are preparing for an action packed Saturday night.
